Explore my latest creations, which move between the experimental and the lyrical, engaging with significant historical and social events.

“Queimada” (Burned) is an acousmatic composition reflecting the 2022 forest fires, many of which were intentionally started by farmers and land grabbers to expand pasture and cultivation areas. In 2022, the Amazon recorded more than 120,000 fire outbreaks, with the loss of millions of hectares of vegetation, while in the Cerrado, MATOPIBA concentrated 77% of the deforestation, with fires that devastated 665,000 hectares of native vegetation. The work is an invitation to reflect on the environmental and social impacts of these actions. I began composing it during my time at PANaroma, until I could no longer re-enroll, finishing it at home.

“Dança da morte,” (Dance of death created in the Lyric Composition Workshop of the São Pedro Theatre, revisits the dance epidemic of the 16th century, when European communities were seized by collective and inexplicable movements. The opera uses dance as a metaphor to explore the loss of control and human resistance in the face of collective crises, uniting music and dramaturgy in an intense and theatrical narrative.
